SPMF Employee Arts Program
Rediscover Your Creativity & Observation Skills!
Dates: Monday, July 6-Wednesday, August 16th (6 weeks)
Times: Mondays 5:30-6:30pm, Sundays 9-10am
(Participants may attend either or both sessions each week.)
Experience: No prior experience needed-all skill levels welcome
Materials: Art supply kits will be provided
Eligibility:Open to the first 50 employees who register
Registration deadline: Monday, June 22nd
What You Will Learn: This 6-week experience is all about enjoying the creative process. You’ll explore: Simple pencil drawing and watercolor painting techniques.
• How color, value, texture, pattern and contrast can express mood and meaning.
• The emotional and mental benefits of creative expression and reigniting perception and observation skills.
Led by: Hillary Younglove
Hillary Younglove is an artist and arts educator with more than 30 years of experience in arts education. Her work explores the intersections of art, memory, whimsy, and well-being through layered personal narratives and community-based projects. Through both her studio practice and teaching, she encourages storytelling, connection, and healing through creative expression. In addition to her independent work, she partnered with Sutter Health on a collaborative mural project involving students, patients, and healthcare workers at Sutter Hospital. Her practice reflects a deep commitment to the transformative power of the arts.
